Terms & Conditions
Location:
For anyone intending to volunteer at the shelter, it is recommended that you have your own form of transport. We are located 2.7 kilometres from the centre of Kildare along a country road that is not suitable for walking. Due to the often unpredictable demands of our work, we are unable to facilitate requests for collections and drop offs.
Vetting:
The Kildare Animal Foundation has a policy of vetting all staff & volunteers who carry out duties at the shelter and / or represent the organisation.
The vetting itself is carried out by An Garda Síochána National Vetting Bureau and refers to an individual’s record of convictions in the Republic of Ireland or elsewhere. This includes all convictions and/or prosecutions, successful or not, pending or completed. The vetting process may also disclose information in relation to specified information such as pertinent information concerning a bona fide concern that there is a finding or allegation of harm to another person received by the National Vetting Bureau from An Garda Síochána or a Scheduled Organisation.
Kildare Animal Foundation reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to object at any time to any person nominated as a volunteer.
Volunteer Acknowledgement of Risk

I agree to assume responsibility for the risks identified here in and those risks not specifically identified. My participation in these activities is purely voluntary, no one is forcing me to participate, and I elect to participate despite these risks.
I certify that I am fully capable of participating in the activities for which I am volunteering. Therefore, I hereby fully and irrevocably waive any claim against KAF, and assume full responsibility for myself, including my minor children or other dependants, for bodily injury, death and loss of personal property and expenses thereof as a result of those inherent risks and dangers, and of my negligence in participating in this activity.
