Geraldine O’Hanlon, Chief Executive Officer
Founder of the Kildare Foundation in 1994, Geraldine O’Hanlon, from County Kildare, has dedicated her life’s work to the care of cats, dogs and other small animals. Having a strong passion for the care of abused and neglected animals, Geraldine has made this animal rescue shelter a key component of the local Kildare Community. A strong believer in the welfare of animals, Geraldine instils these values even further with all those who come in contact with her.
June Lattimore, Trustee & Company Secretary
June has been volunteering at the Kildare Animal Foundation for almost 18 years, mainly in an administrative capacity. She has worked in a National Cultural Institution, the Chester Beatty Library, for 16 years and retired from there in 2017. June is Honorary Secretary of Ireland’s oldest art charity, The Friends of the National Collections of Ireland. Last Year, June adopted a yorkie cross companion called Coco from the shelter and they enjoy long and leisurely daily walks in the parks around Lucan, Co. Dublin.
Dermot Kelly, Trustee
Dermot joined the board of Trustees in 2018 have been a long term shelter volunteer. Originally from Limerick, Dermot is currently an IT professional with Bus Eireann and has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. Dermot owns a Border Collie and 2 cats and is passionate about volunteering.
The 2019 Working Committee are focussing this year on Fundraising and Re-homing Cats and dogs. the members of the group are Geraldine O’Hanlon, Erna McCarthy, derek Bell, Michele Kennan, Martina Broughall, Alison Pickett, Fiona Doyle & Dermot Kelly. Also on the committee but not pictured are Liam Temple, Adrienne Kelly, Barbara Devlin, Roisin Fitzmaurice and Anthony McCormack.
