Each month we will introduce to you an animal that has been at the shelter for a while, that people don’t seem to give a second glance to, let alone the dream of a new home. They may have had a harder life than most and as a result of their looks, age, behaviour in their kennel or have some “special” needs and are not given the chance they so deserve. This month I would like to tell you a story about Kiki………
A man arrived at the gate one afternoon with a tiny little kitten he had found stuck in his car engine. Her leg and tail were damaged and she was in a lot of pain. We rushed her to the vets where she was treated. There had been some nerve damage caused to the leg and it was decided to give her a few weeks in foster care in the hope if it would improve.
With all the love and care she got with Lisa after a few weeks she started to use her leg again. Although the leg is not a hundred percent right, this does not stop Kiki from been the lovable playful kitten she is. Kiki wrestles and jumps just like any kitten would. She also adores the other cats in the house.
Kiki is now ready to move on to her forever home and bring happiest and love in to which ever family is lucky to get her.
If you think Kiki is the cat for you and you can give her the home that she needs please call us on 045 522929 or visit our shelter anyday between 2pm – 4pm.
