In 25 days, from the 28th of December 2009 to Thursday 21st of January 2010 we spent a total of 4,309 euro at our Veterinary clinics. These were essential costs as a result of rescuing injured animals that were also suffering the effects of hypothermia. The desperately cold spell meant we had to borrow 4 wheel drive vehicles to respond to calls involving large and small animals. Our vans could not cope with the snow but nevertheless we got there. Now the January fright has arrived. We needed to use a great deal more heating and electricity to keep our precious animals warm. In the coming weeks, we need to raise at least seven thousand euro just to catch up.
Thankfully every year we run a Winter Raffle. It is always a great help. However this year we need this extra income of seven thousand euro that we had not expected to need. Please – if there is anyone out there that feels they could sell some of our raffle sheets in the work place or among family and friends, please get in touch. The draw date is the 14th of March 2010 so we have plenty of time yet to sell them. It costs two euro per line and each card has twenty lines. So hopfully it will not be too difficult to fill.
Naturally if you would like to make a donation directly - we would be delighted to receive it. Our shelter is bursting at the seams with animals. We simply cannot down tools at the moment and arrange a fundraiser. Any help you can give please leave your name and number on 045 522929.
Thank you so much.
Every good wish
