What a miserable few days it has been and daylight is closing in earlier and earlier each day.I want to thank everyone who supported our fancy dress party on Sunday night,it was a great night and we made a few euro for the animals.We received a call today from a concerned neighbour about a family keeping 6 rabbits in awful conditions and half straved.We immediately headed to the suspected property.On arrively we were met by a nice lady who had only been living in Ireland a couple of years,she was more than happy to show us out back.The report couldnt of been any further from the truth.The rabbits were all fat and in great condition,infact they were probably the most friendly rabbits I’ve seen in a long time.Although the hutch was not big enough for all 6 rabbits but it was clear to see that they roamed the garden,the lady told us she lets them out in the morning and puts them out of harms way in the evening.With abit of advice about getting some larger enclosures,vaccinations and neutuering we were help to head back to the shelter.We will monitor the situation over the next few days…
